VAT affects pricing, cash flow and record keeping. We register you, file your returns under Making Tax Digital for VAT and help you pick the scheme that fits your business.
What is included
- VAT registration, including voluntary registration
- Quarterly VAT returns filed through MTD-compatible software
- Flat Rate, Cash Accounting and Annual Accounting scheme advice
- Review of partial exemption and reverse charge rules where they apply
- Help with HMRC VAT queries
When you must register
You must register for VAT if your taxable turnover over the last 12 months goes above £90,000, or if you expect it to go over that figure in the next 30 days alone. Registering late can mean paying VAT you never charged your customers.
Deadlines
VAT returns and payments are normally due one calendar month and seven days after the end of each VAT period. Late returns and payments are now subject to points-based penalties and interest.
